If you wish to be placed in a better group in the wave start during TCS Lidingöloppet, you can submit previous race results as qualifiers. The following are the rules for TCS Lidingöloppet's time qualifiers:

Wave starts are used in Rosa Bandet-loppet (The Pink Ribbon Race), TCS Lidingöloppet 30 and TCS Lidingöloppet 15. Participants are grouped either automatically, based on results in TCS Lidingöloppet in the two previous years, or based on an estimated running time from other races. If a race entry is made with no requests on waves, the entrant will automatically be placed in the last wave start.

The race result you wish to use as a qualification time shall not be older than 3 years. The last date to qualify for a wave start is the 6th of September.

Results from the following races are valid, besides the race events during TCS Lidingöloppet:

Vårmilen (5 and 10K)

Blodomloppet Stockholm (10K)
- GöteborgsVarvet
- Stockholm Marathon
- Stockholm Halvmarathon (not the same year as Lidingöloppet, since it takes place just weeks before the event).

If you live abroad, you can use results from races in your country (10K or longer).

How to do submit a qualification time for TCS Lidingöloppet:
State the result you wish to use in your entry, or send it to
Information required:
- Name of the race
- Year
- Distance
- Your final result

Qualification information that has not been stated correctly will not be taken into consideration. This means automatic placement in the last start wave. Runners with results from Lidingöloppet on Tour Powered By Klövern are prioritized.

Automatic qualification is made based on results from the two most recent TCS Lidingöloppet races, unless other results are presented.
Please note that the automatic seeding only applies on the same distances. If you are entering TCS Lidingöloppet 30, and your qualifying time is from TCS Lidingöloppet 15, you have to state this in your entry.
If your result from two years ago is better than last year's event, please state that you wish to use your older result.

Please complete your entry with qualifying results no later than the 25th of August. The division into wave starts is made subject to availability. If a wave is full, you will be placed in the closest group possible. Races accepted for qualifying times are only the ones stated above.

Run with a friend
Do you wish to run together with someone? To be in the same wave start, please state "wish to run with xxx xxx” (that persons' name and date of birth) in your entry. The grouping will be made subject to availability, so enter your request as soon as possible.

Digital seedning-Timing

This is how to register and report your time for your digtial seedning for TCS Lidingöloppet.

Before your race:
Make sure you have a fully charged phone/watch with you and that you have downloaded the latest version of the app you are measuring the time/course with. Lidingöloppet recommends that you use the training app STRAVA, but it is also possible to use another training app with GPS functionality (e.g. Runkeeper, etc) and of course any other watch training app.

At start:
Make sure that you prepare your app/watch for timekeeping and that it has "found" the GPS reception where you are (give yourself enough time for this!).

When the "start shot" goes, start your timing via the app/clock you are using.

At the finish line:
Stop the time when you cross the finish line or reach the "correct" distance.

Make sure to save the race in your app/watch. Feel free to double-check that the app/watch has registered your run before you leave the finish area.

When to report your time:
Go to My Pages via the link you received in the start-info. Here you can choose two different ways to report your time, see picture below

1. By submitting a GPX file from any training app

How this works differs a bit depending on which watch/app you have. For more information on how to download a GPX file see the manufacturer's webpage. Once you’ve downloaded your GPX file, to your computer or phone, you can then upload it to our interface. Note, the file you select must have the .gpx extension.

2. By selecting one of the workouts you have registered in the training app Strava.

You can either connect your training app/watch directly to Strava, which means that all your activities, including your competition performance, will appear automatically in STRAVA and will be selectable there. (Here you will find a good information page on how to pair the watch with STRAVA). Alternatively, you can use STRAVA as your timing app on your phone. You must first link your Lidingöloppet account to your Strava account, which you do by clicking on the "Connect with Strava" button. Then you will be able to choose which of your Strava activities you want to send in as your "competition entry".

If your timekeeping has not worked, there is an opportunity to enter your time manually.

If your result is approved, i.e. has the right distance for your registered distance and, if on Lidingö, follows the correct route, you will be immediately notified that your result is approved in the interface via an email. There may be ambiguity in this.
