Peter Woll - Official of the Year

Every year, an award is given out, the Lasse Dahlstedt Volunteer Award. This year we say a big congratulations to Peter Woll. Below you can read his wonderful nomination. Thank you Peter for making a difference!
The anticipation in the air, butterflies in the stomach, and a spring in the step. It's at the starting line where a race truly begins. It's crucial that everything works as it should when the runners line up and take off at the sound of the starting gun. Being in charge of the start is therefore one of the most important and prestigious duties of the Lidingöloppet.
So it is with joy and gratitude that this year we present the Official of the Year award to Peter Woll. Peter has for many years been responsible for the start at Grönsta where he, with both professionalism and calm (despite once being a very fast runner with several times under 2 hours for 30k), has taken care of both runners and other officials in an excellent manner.
But the effort doesn't stop there; Peter is always cheerful and lends a hand where it's needed, not least at Blodomloppet and Stadium Night Run. Being a volunteer isn't just about performing a task – it's about creating experiences. And no one does it better than Peter. His contributions make a difference and make Lidingöloppet a race that runners want to return to.
