Thea Wallberg is getting ready for the Lidingöloppet in Funäsfjällen

We've checked in with Thea Wallberg - Ambassador for the Lidingöloppet in Funäsfjällen. Thea is training hard for this year's race on July 12th. It will be her first ever running race. So we took the opportunity to ask her a few questions about her preparations.
- What are you most looking forward to about running in Funäsfjällen?
-I'm really looking forward to going to Funäsfjällen to run on new mountains I haven't run on before! That's also what I appreciate most about running, being out and discovering new places, so it's going to be really exciting.
2. How have you prepared physically and mentally for the race?
-My goal with the race is to be out and have fun, so I'm not aiming for any particular time or placement. Therefore, I plan my training based on how I feel each day and what I'm in the mood for. Over the past few months, I've been very sick and now have a sprained foot, but it's not the end of the world! I hope to get in some more running in the mountains before the race.
3. What does a typical training week look like?
-My training routine is quite varied from week to week, depending on where I am and how my body feels. I enjoy engaging in most activities so I mix running, cycling, hiking, and other outdoor activities. My favorite workout is definitely a calm and long run in the sun on the mountain!
4. Do you have any tips on how to keep motivation up during long training sessions?
-Good snacks are definitely essential for maintaining motivation and energy. I also think it's important to pause and look up to take in the view
