The clubs
We are a non-profit orienteering club for athletes of all ages and skill levels, where community and enjoyment are central values. There is a clear vision, structure, and continuity in what the club offers, from children to veterans, including elite athletes. Whether you practice orienteering to compete, develop, feel good, seek experiences, or find a sense of belonging, everyone is equally welcome.
IFK Lidingö Athletics Club – Our Club
IFK Lidingö was founded in 1932 and was originally a multi-sport club in which athletics played a leading role. In 1985, the sections became independent associations, and the non-profit IFK Lidingö Athletics Club was formed.
IFK Lidingö Athletics has a long and proud history and has produced national team athletes and Swedish Championship medalists in most disciplines.
The club’s ambition is to offer all athletics disciplines to everyone who wishes to participate, from the age of six through to veterans.
En Svensk Klassiker
The Lidingöloppet has been one of the cornerstones of En Svensk Klassiker since its inception in 1971. En Svensk Klassiker consists of some of the longest, largest, and oldest races in the world within cycling, swimming, running, and cross-country skiing.
The classic races included in En Svensk Klassiker, En Svensk Klassiker Tjej, En Svensk Klassiker Korta, and En Svensk Klassiker Halva offer an unforgettable experience for both participants and spectators alike.
The foundation of En Svensk Klassiker is performance, experience, pride, and respect.
To conquer En Svensk Klassiker, En Svensk Klassiker Tjej, En Svensk Klassiker Korta, or En Svensk Klassiker Halva, you must complete the various disciplines—skiing, cycling, swimming, and running—within a twelve-month period.
