Lidingöloppet invites you to the Lidingöloppet Spring Mile. Here you’ll find everything you need to know about the race.

Classes and start times:

Children’s Vårmilen (ages 0–5): 400 m at 10:15
Children’s Vårmilen (age 5+): 500 m with obstacles at 10:20
Men and Women 10 km (from age 11): 11:00
Men and Women 5 km (from age 9): 11:10

Children's Vårmil

Before the Spring Mile race, a children’s race will be held on the running track. Registration is available on our website or at Lidingövallen.
Ages 0–5: 400 m
Age 5+: 500 m with “obstacles”

Bib pickup:

You can collect your bib from 9:30 on race day until 30 minutes before your start. Changing the name of an already registered runner costs SEK 100 and must be done 60 minutes before the start.

Late registration:

Available at Lidingövallen from 9:30 until no later than 60 minutes before the start. By registering, you agree that your name will be recorded and published in start and result lists, including on the website. Bag drop:

Free bag storage is available for all participants at Lidingövallen.
We do not accept laptops or other electronics.

Valuables storage:

Costs SEK 20 (Swish: 1235557608). Available at the information desk.

The course:

The first 2.5 km are mostly on asphalt, after which the surface changes to gravel. The only hydration station is at 5 km, with additional drinks available at the finish.

The terrain consists of trails/park paths, with the most elevation between 5–8 km.

The 5 km course splits/turns around after 2.3 km at Koltorps gärde (start area for the Lidingöloppet 30 km and 15 km races), crosses Ekholmsnäsvägen, and then rejoins the 10 km course.The final 350 meters are on the running track inside Lidingövallen.

Course markings:

Red and white ribbons mark the entire course. Spray-painted arrows may also appear on the ground. Pay attention to course markings—you may not always have another runner ahead to follow. Officials will be stationed at key points.
KM markers are placed at every kilometer with countdown.

Changing facilities:

Indoor changing rooms are available before and after the race at Lidingövallen, including showers and sauna. Toilets are available in the changing rooms and on the arena grounds.

Food:

Before and after the races, snacks and light meals are available at the café at Lidingövallen. A wider selection of food is available at Lidingö Tennis Club.

Hydration:

Water and sports drink from Enervit will be available at the 5 km mark and at the finish.

Warm-up:

Group warm-ups will be held in connection with each start together with STC.

DNF:

Must be reported to an official on the course or at the finish (information tent).

First Aid:

First aid will be available at the start/finish area.

Results:

Available on our website. Results become official one week after the race.

Prizes:

The award ceremony will be announced by the speaker and held at Lidingövallen immediately after the top three women in the 10 km race have finished (approx. 11:45). Prizes for 1st–3rd place in both women’s and men’s categories. All participants receive a medal at the finish.

Getting there:

We recommend traveling to Lidingö by public transport. Take the red metro line toward Ropsten. From Ropsten, take bus 204, 211, or 212 and get off at Lidingövallen. See current timetables at http://www.sl.se

By car, cross the Lidingö Bridge and turn right immediately after the bridge toward Elfvik. Follow Norra Kungsvägen, and after about 3 km you will see Lidingövallen on the right. GPS address: Kyrkviksstigen 3, 181 46 Lidingö.

Parking is available near Lidingövallen but spaces are limited. We recommend public transport or cycling.

Parking:

Limited parking is available. Follow instructions from parking attendants.
Fee: SEK 40 (Swish: 1234575775).

Parking address: Kyrkviksstigen, entrance from Norra Kungsvägen.

Visitors:

Everyone is welcome to cheer along the course. At Lidingövallen, you can see runners at both the start and finish.

Cometition rules:

We follow the rules of the Swedish Athletics Federation. For example, external pacing (having someone join mid-race to assist) is strictly prohibited. However, it is allowed to have a registered pacer (“hare”) who starts with the race and leads as long as they can. All participation is at your own risk.
