On the men's side, Kenyan William Nyarondia Morwabe made a comeback after his victory ten years ago. And it turned out he would repeat the feat.

After having been accompanied for a long time by Hässelby's Ebba Tulu Chala, Morwabe made a surge in the last mile and crossed the finish line at 1:37:15. Tulu Chala finished eleven seconds later in second place. IFK Lidingö's Simon Sundström finished third with a time of 1:38:09.

-I am very, very happy. It was a wonderful experience to run on this beautiful track with all the spectators standing by the side and cheering, says Morwabe afterwards.
