Seeding
Influence your race with the help of seeding!
If you want to start in the correct starting group, you can seed yourself. The right starting group means that you run in a group with other runners who maintain a similar pace. Here are the rules that apply for seeding to the TCS Lidingöloppet and the Rosa Bandet race.
Automatic seeding is based on the results of the last three years in the TCS Lidingöloppet, Rosa Bandet-loppet, and @Hemma. If registration is made without previous Lidingöloppet results and without stating another seeding-based result not older than three years, the runner is automatically placed in an unseeded start group.
Seeding is done subject to availability to the correct start group. If the start group is full, you will be placed in the closest possible group.
Report your time
Report your time
Seeding foundation results can be reported for free via My Pages until Thursday before the race weekend. Friday–Sunday, reseeding/changing of start group costs 300 SEK. The result you wish to use must not be older than 3 years. Results that have not been correctly reported will not be accepted, which means automatic placement in the last start group.
For seeding to the TCS Lidingöloppet 30km and 15 km, a seeding distance of at least 10 km applies.
For seeding to the Rosa Bandet race 10 km, a seeding distance of at least 5 km applies.
- Do a reseeding
- Companion seeding - run in the same starting group as a friend
Please note that automatic seeding is only applicable for the same distance. If you register for the TCS Lidingöloppet 30, and your qualifying time is from the TCS Lidingöloppet 15, you must specify this in your registration.
If your result from two years ago is better than last year's race, please indicate that you want to use your older result when you register.

- Enter “buddy seeding” in the field for “Distance”.
- Specify the year you intend to participate
- In the field for time, enter in the field for minutes the start group you wish to move to. Note that it must be a start group with a higher number than the one you were previously assigned.
- In the field for the race, you can write free text to us
- Click on "send new seeding information"
- We will send you a confirmation once we have processed your request for compost spreading.
NOTE Complementary seeding can never provide a better starting group than the one you would be assigned based on your running merits.
