We’re now seeing a lot of interest in getting seeded into the right start group. To give yourself the best chance to run at the right pace, we recommend that you submit your seeding as early as possible.

We are pleased to continue offering the success of digital seeding – the opportunity to qualify for the various start groups of the TCS Lidingöloppet through your own digital timing, at a place, date, and time that suits you!

About seeding races

By running a seeding race, you can place yourself in the start group for the TCS Lidingöloppet 30, 15 and Rosa Bandet – the race that best matches your pace. This way, you are guaranteed the optimal journey through the Lidingö terrain in September – with an even rhythm, just the right speed, and plenty of space between you and the other participants.

Digital seeding races ahead of the TCS Lidingöloppet

To give more participants the opportunity to seed themselves into the TCS Lidingöloppet start groups, we are giving you the chance to qualify for the TCS Lidingöloppet start groups through digital timing.

By using digital seeding with Lidingöloppet’s digital races, you can complete your seeding on any 10-kilometre course anywhere in the world, on any date from January 1 up to and including September 26. In this way, you can run your seeding race under relaxed conditions, on a day when the weather, course and your running form are optimal, and without needing to travel to an organised race event. You can also complete as many digital seeding races as you like and register the results for reseeding up to five times.

Seeding is done subject to available space into the appropriate start group. If the start group is full, you will be placed in the closest possible group.

How to complete Lidingöloppet’s digital seeding for TCS Lidingöloppet: 

1. Register for Lidingöloppet’s seeding race here.
2. Choose a distance of 10 kilometers (or run Lidingöloppet’s “Sista Milen” to get the exact course). The distance must be run in full and in a single session.
3. Run the specified distance. Time yourself using a watch with GPS functionality or a phone with the Strava app installed.
4. Report your result on My Pages. You can upload a GPX file from any training app or select one of the sessions you have recorded in the Strava training app. If you want to run several times, you can submit results on multiple occasions.
5. Once your result has been approved, it will appear in the results list and My Pages.
6. Submit new seeding information. You can make a maximum of 5 reseedings.
